Teacher by Day, Jewelry Designer by Evening, Asleep by Night
I spend my days learning and exploring alongside an incredibly inquisitive and creative crew of kindergarteners and first graders at a unique project-based, maker school. Teaching wasn't my first career though. My twenties saw me studying and working in interior design. I designed home and store interiors with a passion for kitchens and color.
Poppy and Honey Bee came about when the school purchased a Glowforge. Soon after its arrival, our founder asked me to explore its creative possibilities in order to share them with the kids and get them lasering. He also gave me the green light to just have fun with it for my own creative endevours. Next thing you know, I'm making myself jewelry and my friends are begging me to make them some, too. Friends are the best, aren't they?
Now, Poppy & Honey Bee is my self-care. It is my personal outlet where I can combine my passion for design, color and all things creative.
